Im happy I chose this book because, like other Sparks books its an easy mood filled book. The book is about Ronnie and her dads realtionship and how is developes as she reeneters into his life only to find out he has cancer. I like that Sparks, every chapter, would switch the perspective to different charcters through out the book. Unlike alot of books that follow that pattern, each charcters doesnt talk about the same topics as the others, they go beyond it and into their environment so you get the full effect of whats going on through the story. He has really good details of the setting and analyzation of the charcters. In gerneral it was a good read and I'd suggest it to anyone who doesnt mind a sappy story.

Take Me There Susane Colasanti
In Take Me There, it tells the story of three highschool best friends story of their 11th grade year. The book is divided into two parts which I thought was interesting becuase each has three sections of each of James, Rhiannon, and Nicoles perspectives. I think by having that set up, it gives the reader a better insight into each of the characters minds. I thought Colasanti did a good job narrarating the mind of an average teen by using realistic dialect and inner thinkings. Sometimes when you read realistic fiction its hard to imagine real people actually saying the things that the author writes.

Continuation: Sabriel
Since i just finished "Where Are the Children", I started back up with Sabriel. if suggest this book to anyone whoes willing to learn a new language. Since its fantacy, the whole world is filled with creatures and objects that are used for, magical purposes. I often have to reread something or go back and figure out how two things are connected, but I really like the story line. For example Sabriel, the main character, is a necromancer. She has the power to bring back the dead. Seems simple enough, until you have to understand the 9 circles of death and the spells and symbols that magical people can posess to go in and out of the circles.

Continuation of: Where are the Children?
Finishing my second ever murder mystery, I'm going to look into more of Higgins books. the whole book, all the pieces that the characters have put together give you clues bit by bit until you know, or think you know who it is. Then after that point, it's basically you wishing that this character knew this information, or had seen something they missed. The suspence keeps the pages turning. It was tricky at first to figure out who Courtney Parish, the murderer, is becuase in the end it ends up being the main character, Nancys, X husband that you dont hear much about until the end I got to piece similarities between the two together until i had figured out who it was. All in all I think it was a quick interesting read.

Sabriel Garth Nix
Aside form reading, "Where are the Children", I'm reading Sabriel. My friend from work requested it stating that if i had liked "Harry Potter" I would love this book, and so far its great. I dont read alot of fantasy unless im really into it, and so far I'm liking this, alot of the vocabulary is a bit confussing since most of the terms are made up, so sometimes I have to ask or look it up. The blend between magic and the setting makes it a great read. I would suggest this book to anyone that likes a bit of fantasy and mystery and doesn't mind struggling every once in a while.

Where are the Children? Mary Higgins
For a change, I wanted to try a mystery book and this is the author the librarian said was a good. so far I like it alot, im only 33 pages in, but the charecters are really interesting and I like the way Mary makes on of the charecters, im guessing the murderers, perspective different from the rest. It adds a twist and questions like, "Who is this?" "Why is she/he doing this" yadayada. The setting is also in Cape Cod, so I just recently went there for the first time so it's fun to see the characters view on the area. I'm excited to keep reading and hopfully can figure out who the murderer is!

The Notebook Nicholas Sparks
I've seen the movie and cried, so once I passed it in the library I had to pick it up. Unlike alot of books that have been turned into movies, I thought the movie followed the book really well and had even more interesting details in the movie that weren't stretched out so much in the book--so it was interesting to have seen/read both. The characters were so real, Sparks put in little clips of there lives as teens that really defined who they were in the rest of their life. It was a good quick read, but I really enjoyed the bits of poetry they inclued that Noah, the main charcters, had read. The descriptions of the scenery is perfect too, and with past vacations to North Carolina it was nice to see his point of view of the inland.
